Beyond Never Again
An Eye-Opening Course, Pondering Our Most Difficult Yet Most Relevant Questions - Discovering Hope & Inspiration
How do we develop what it takes to deal with crisis? How should we respond to our own pain? How about when we see others suffering? Why do bad things happen to good people? What does Judaism say about faith and tragedy? |
Drawing from the teachings and inspiration of thousands of years of Jewish thought and Kabbalistic insight, based on the backdrop of the singular event in the last century that most marked the face of contemporary Jewish life – The Holocaust, this course faces head-on, the deepest Jewish questions possible and explorer’s them at a level of meaning that touches the soul. We explore altruism, the search for meaning in the face of crises, and the existence of injustice in our world. Beyond Never Again – A View from the Soul, will help serve as a model and backdrop, providing insight into the challenging circumstances we face in our own life, or when we witness others in our society who are suffering. It will help us to grapple with the existence of evil and pain. It will inspire us to find faith and optimism in the face of devastation and despair. And it humbles us as we encounter heroes of the spirit who fought for truth and decency in the darkest of times. |
